Scientific activity:
Scope of scientific research: Chemistry and technology of polymers and polymeric materials.
K. Czaja is a highly skilled professional in the following areas:
- Synthesis and characterization of catalysts for polymer synthesis, mainly polyolefins;
- Coordination polymerization and copolymerization of olefins;
- Chemical and physical modification of commercial polyolefins;
- Composites and nanocomposites on polymer matrices;
- Characterization of the structural, molecular and functional properties of polymer materials;
- Bio-, thermal and photodegradation of polymers, including atmospheric aging of polymeric materials;
- Utilization of post-consumer polymeric wastes.
Scientific achievements:
Autor of more than 150 scientific publications, chapters in books and monographs, 25 patents and 11 patent applications and more than 200 oral presentations and reports, presented at scientific conferences in Poland and abroad. She is a reviewer of almost forty doctoral and postdoctoral dissertations. The author of several reviews of scientific books published in specialized journals. She has reviewed over 120 scientific publications in journals of the Philadelphia List. K. Czaja took part in the implementation of more than 150 grants and research projects in different fields.
