Abstract – A potentially useful procedure for determining albumin in the aqueous media by immunosensor technique with a fluorescent type of detection has been described. The registration principle is based on energy transfer between two fluorescent molecules immobilized on antigen and antibody interacting with each other. The sensor element is implemented in a solid-phase version using the Langmuir-Blodgett technology. The detection limit for albumin in solution makes up 10-11 M with the optimal time for analysis in the range of 6-8 minutes.

Keywords: albumins, immunosensors, fluorescence, energy transfer, thin films.
